An Accra Circuit Court has sentenced Dominic Owusu Sekyere, a senior attorney and one Albert Kwadwo Coleman to 12 years imprisonment for $200,000 fraudulent land transaction.
The convicts collected the amount from one Ato Hamilton under the pretext of providing him with a parcel of land at Cantonments in Accra, but failed to do so.
Sekyere and Coleman alias Samuel Yeboah a marketing officer collected the money three years ago and the matter had been in court since its commencement on November 15, 2015.
But the court presided over by Mrs Malike Wornya Dey on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 found the accused guilty of the offence of defrauding by false pretenses and convicted them accordingly.
