Late Asempa FM Host To Be Laid To Rest January 20

BuzzGhana has learnt that late  will be laid to rest on the 20th of January, 2018. Kaba’s burial which according to 3News.com will take place in his hometown, Akwamu Adumasa in the Eastern Region, was announced at a family meeting held on Wednesday, November 22.

Ahead of the burial, a memorial service of one week of his death will take place on Saturday, November 25, 2017 where final details of Kaba’s burial arrangements would officially be announced.

Kwadwo Asare Baffuor Acheampong (KABA) who worked as the regular host of Asempa FM‘s popular political talk show, ‘Ekosii Sen’, died in the early hours of Saturday, November 18, 2017, at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital after a short illness. While some reports had it that his sugar level suddenly rose before he was rushed to the hospital, others say that the actual cause of his death is not yet known.

Following his death, a memorial service was organised and held on behalf of the late radio presenter by Multimedia Group, owners of Asempa FM, in the early hours of Monday, November 20.

Kaba who died at the age of 37, left a young wife, Valentina, a seven month-old baby girl, his parents, family and friends to mourn him. The nation has reacted to the ace broadcaster’s painful and sudden death in different ways, with most people describing it as shocking.

Aside being the host of Asempa Fm‘s ‘Ekosii Sen’, Kaba who joined Multimedia in 2009also served at other positions including being the host of Adom TV’s morning show ‘Badwam’ on Multi TV, Asempa FM’s daily news bulletin ‘Asempa Today’ and weekly current affairs programme ‘Kukurantumi’.

He recently won the Best Talk Show Host at the 2017 edition of the Radio and Television Personality (RTP) Awards held last month.
