New Black Stars head coach, Kwesi Appiah held a closed-door meeting with President Nana Akufo-Addo few days before taking up his new post as the head of the senior national team.
The former Al Khartoum man has been busy visiting officials of government and Ghana Football Association members ahead of his unveiling.
Appiah is expected to pen down a two-year contract with the Ghana Football Association on May 1.
His visit to the seat of government precedes a similar trip to the Ministry of Youth and Sports on Monday where he interacted with the Sports Minister, Isaac Asiamah and other officials of the ministry.
The former Asante Kotoko defender is the only indigenous coach to qualify Ghana for the World Cup when he led the team in 2013 but saw the World Cup campaign blow up in his face due to a standoff between the playing body and the technical team due to bonus disputes.
