The 2017 MTV Video Music Awards arrive in exactly one month. On Tuesday (Jul. 25), the nominations were revealed during an announcement session on Instagram Live. Leading the pack for this year’s VMAs is Kendrick Lamar. The TDE MC lands eight nominations, including “Video of the Year,” “Artist of the Year,” and “Best Hip-Hop.” The Weeknd and Katy Perry follow with five nods each, while artists like Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, DJ Khaled, D. R.A.M., Chance the Rapper and Big Sean also received multiple nominations.
The 34th annual MTV Video Music Awards takes place on August 27, live from The Forum in Inglewood, California, starting at 8 p.m. EST. Check out the full nominations list below.
