Managing Director of the Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL) Kenneth Ashigbey has tendered in his resignation letter, 3news.com can confirm.
Mr Ashigbey wrote to employer National Media Commission (NMC) to relinquish his post.
In a letter sighted by 3news.com and dated September 14, 2017, Mr Ashigbey assured staff of GCGL that its leadership “is secure and all our plans are progressing very well”.
Mr Ashigbey is, however, yet to get a response from the Commission over his resignation, 3news.com gathers.
“I am still awaiting that response and I will inform you accordingly,” he stated in his letter to the staff.
Mr Ashigbey was appointed Managing Director of GCGL in November 2011 for an initial four-year term.
Before that appointment, he was the Chief Operating Officer of Multimedia Group Limited, having previously headed Joy FM between 2003 and 2006.
He was also Managing Director for sports media firm Optimum Media Prime (OMP).
