The Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) of the Ghana Police Service has invited Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency Kennedy Ohene Agyapong and musician A-Plus to answer questions regarding recent allegations of corruption thrown at some government officials.
Born Kwame Asare Obeng, A-Plus has publicly accused deputy chiefs of staff Francis Asenso-Boakye and Samuel Abu Jinapor as being corrupt, further claiming that he has evidence to back his allegations.
“It is amazing how Nana [Akufo-Addo] was able to appoint two thieves whose level of stupidity is the same,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
“Arrogant and corrupt fools,” he added in his post.
The Assin Central MP lent credence to A-Plus’s allegations, asking for a wider investigation as he is convinced not only the two staffers are but several others at the presidency.
www.3news.com gathers the CID invited the two on Wednesday to provide evidence backing their allegations, which is believed to be a blow to the presidency if found to be true.
The interrogation will begin investigations into the allegations.
Already, A-Plus has said he has evidence to back his claims, having told Accra-based radio station Joy FM on Wednesday that he is ready to provide the evidence.
