Ghana’s Supreme Court judge, Justice Anin Yeboah, has been appointed by international football governing body, FIFA, to chair its Disciplinary Committee.
He secured an overwhelming vote, 98 per cent, to be appointed to that position, the Ghana Football Association announced Thursday morning in a tweet.

Justice Anin Yeboah is among three justices tipped for Ghana’s Chief Justice position in June this year, was in May 2016 appointed a member of the FIFA Ethics Committee.
Per that appointment, he served on the Adjudicatory chamber of the FIFA Ethics committee for the next four years alongside Akihiro Hara (Japan), Oscar Vicente Scavone Rivas (Paraquay),Damiani Juan Pedro (Uruguay), Abdoulaye Diop (Senegal), Hallen Yngve (Norway), Jack Kariko (Papua New Guinea), Liu Chi (China) and Alan Rothenberg (USA).
Before his appointment to the Ethics Committee, Justice Yeboah served on various judicial bodies in the Ghana Football Association including the Disciplinary Committee, Appeals Committee.
He also served on the Appeals Committee of the Confederation of African Football.
The Adjudicatory Chamber of the Ethics Committee reviews the reports of the Investigatory Chamber and decide whether a case should be proceeded or closed.
Investigatory Chamber and after conducting further investigations if deemed necessary, the Adjudicatory Chamber sends a report to all parties involved and asks for their statements.
The Adjudicatory Chamber has to finally decide on appropriate sanctions after conducting further investigations if deemed necessary.
