Actress and TV Host Joselyn Dumas was a special guest on last week’s edition of Live From The Capital on Live 91.9 FM.
Dumas spoke to host AJ Sarpong about career choices, her favourite songs by Ghanaian artistes including Sarkodie, M.anifest, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, dealing with trolls on the internet and more.
Dumas got her mainstream break as a host on Rhythmz, an entertainment television show. She joined Viasat 1 Television later as the hist of The One Show, the station’s first own produced flagship Talk Show program which aired from 2010 to 2014.
She also hosted @Home WIth Joselyn Dumas, which aired across Africa and parts of Europe.
One of her early first movie roles was in the production ‘Perfect Picture‘ by Shirley Frimpong-Manso. It opened for the doors for her to get other movie/TV series roles including ‘Adams Apple, A Sting In A Tale, Love or Something Like That and Northern Affair.
Dumas won ‘Best Entertainment Host of the Year’ at the 2012 Radio and Television Personality Awards, and ‘Best Actress in a Lead Role’ at the 2014 Ghana Movie Awards.
She was also nominated for the ‘Best Actress in a Leading Role’ award at the 2014 Africa Movie Academy Awards.
She is currently the Brand Ambassador of Jobberman Ghana, a jobs advertisement company and Range Rover Evogue.

The station belongs to leading media group EIB Network, which also owns GH One TV, Starr FM, Kasapa FM, Ultimate FM, Empire FM, Abusua FM, Agoo FM, Agoo TV, and the Daily Heritage newspaper.
