The Ministry of Energy has set up an eight-member investigative committee to unravel circumstances that led to the release of 5 million litres of off-spec fuel by the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Limited (BOST).
The committee is expected to recommend, among others, whether the Managing Director of BOST, Alfred Obeng Boateng, should be interdicted.
Mr Boateng has been accused of endorsing the release of the contaminated fuel via his private companies.
The committee has 30 days within which to complete work, according to TV3’s Rabiu Alhassan, who was at the unveiling of the committee.
