Investigations to establish the cause of a Starbow flight skidding off the runway on Saturday have begun, authorities at the Kotoka International Airport have said.
The accident, which involved a Kumasi-bound flight, left one person hospitalized at the Airport Clinic in Accra.
In a statement issued by the Emergency Operations Center of the Airport, the incident occurred at 12:20pm on Saturday.
“The aircraft was carrying 63 passengers and 5 crew,” it confirmed.
“One passenger sustained minor injuries and is currently under observation at the clinic.”
It pointed out that emergency procedures at the Airport have been activated though operations are continuing normally.
Two others who received treatment at the Clinic were discharged.
