Comic politician, Madam Akua Donkor is alleging that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-addo cannot wholly absolve himself from circumstances that led to the death of Major Maxwell Adam Mahama.
She backs the accusation by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) that death of the soldier who was the platoon commander at Denkyira-Boase should be blamed on the President who has been mandated to steer affairs of the country.
Madam Akua Donkor stressed on the fact that President Nana Akufo Addo masterminded the gruesome murder of Major Mahama and indicated that she is ready to testify in court should she be sued.
“I am ready to testify against Nana Addo if he sues me for making this claim. He should be blamed for the soldier’s death”, she disclosed on Agoo TV’s Nyansapo hosted by Kwaku Owusu Adjei
On the posthumous promotion of the slain soldier, she said “the position of a Major makes no sense because the soldier is already dead and a promotion will not bring him back to life. The promotion was given to him because President Nana Akufo Addo wants to cover his back”
There are still conflicting accounts as to circumstances that led to the death of Major Maxwell Adam Mahama who was the platoon Commander at Denkyira-Boase in the Upper Denkyira West District of the Central Region.
Whereas military command and police investigators claim he was going on jogging and stopped to buy snails from the woman who saw a sidearm on him and snitched the assemblyman William Baah who then mobilized angry residents to lynch him, another account claimed he was invited to a meeting with a prior motive of killing him.
The police are however holding on to 44 who have all been provisionally charged with two counts of murder contrary to section 46 of the criminal code and other offences act of 1960, Act 29 as well as conspiracy to commit crime to wit murder: contrary to section 23(1) and 46 of the criminal and other offences act 1960 (Act 29).
