Months into his resignation from the AshantiGold Sporting Club as the head coach, Bashir Hayford has revealed his plans to return to active coaching next season.
In an interview with Onua FM Sports, the outspoken manager opined that his decision to resign as AshantiGold SC manager was also influenced by the fact that he needed rest after being in active coaching for years.
“I said I want to rest. From Lions I moved to Power FC without a break. From Power FC, I moved to Kotoko without sufficient rest. After being with several clubs, I later moved to AshantiGold SC. I have never gotten time to rest. Now I have rested for months. I’m okay and very sound to work,” he said.
The former Black Princesses coach announced: “I can see that now I am ready to work again. I’m available for a next job.”
Hayford guided the Obuasi-based side to their premier league triumph in 2015, after previously winning the league in 2008 with Asante Kotoko with 69 points.
Coach Hayford has enormous experience in the Ghanaian terrain.
