Ghanaian actor, Adjetey Anang, popularly referred to as ‘Pusher,’ says he is a beneficiary of the late Charles Kofi Bucknor’s legacy.
According to him, the veteran actor contributed immensely towards his successful career.
He described the former director of television at the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) as a forefather to all actors including the upcoming ones.
“For me, I am going to be one of the beneficiaries of his legacy, he always never ceases to tell me that any role I am being given, I should give up my hundred per cent.”
“He created an environment whereby some of us did not feel intimidated even if you were a newcomer to the same scene of established and accomplished actors,” he said.
Adjetey Anang, however, expressed worry at the rate at which the Ghanaian industry was losing its old actors, adding that the absence of the veteran actor has created a huge vacuum in the movie industry.
He stated that young actors like himself should be made play the roles of the “old.”
“Most of our old folks have passed on, so probably some of us young ones, will have to be groomed to look like old folks,” he asserted.
