Member of Parliament (MP) for Amasaman Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Mr Emmanuel Nii Okai Laryea, has assured his constituents that he will pursue government till it completes all road projects which were started by the previous government.
The Amasaman lawmaker alleged that some road construction works which were started by the National Democratic Congress (NDC)-led administration have been abandoned by the Akufo-Addo-led government for reasons best known to them.
Speaking in an interview with Today, Mr. Okai Laryea disclosed that construction works on the Obeyeyie Manhean-Oduman and Nsakina roads have all been stalled.
According to him, construction works on those roads which commenced on June 5, 2015 were initially expected to be completed by August 9, 2016.
However, he said the completion date was extended to August 9, 2017 due to the inclusion of additional drainage works.
“Even though works have been executed to the sub-base level, works have been abandoned,” he claimed.
