Undefeated Namibian boxer, Walter ‘Executioner’ Kautondokwa, will be defending his WBO Africa middleweight title when he comes up against Ghana’s Obodai ‘Miracle’ Sai tonight.
Fighting for the first time in Ghana, Koutondokwa has promised boxing loving fans, who would be trooping to the Bukom Boxing Arena, Accra, of his trademark hard punches that would render Obodai Sai hopeless in his bid to clinch the title.
According to the Namibian boxer, report that Obodai will knock him down in the 8th round was just a figment of people’s imagination.
He further stated that he will never be intimidated by fans because he will only face Obodai in the ring.
“He is dreaming, he is always losing so he wants to win but in his heart he knows he will lose and he will lose big time,” a very poised Koutondokwa said after his arrival in Ghana.
“Home support will not be in the ring; in the ring will be only me and him so what is going to happen in the stands will not affect me. The crowd will only be talking or supporting him but in the ring, it’s going to be something different.”
Other top local fights including the rematch between Michael Ansah (One Bullet) and Patrick Okine, known as the Mallet, will be on the bill, while Ghana’s highest ranked boxer, Rafael Mensah, who is currently 3rd placed in the WBA Super featherweight world ratings, will take on Edward Kambasi.
Emmanuel ‘Mayweather’ Martey will sort things out with Kofi Johnson in a 10-Round Super Middleweight contest before Kpakpo Allotey takes on Tackie Annan in a national super lightweight championship.
