Ashanti Regional Minister has described a pure fabrication and lies claims that he has dwelt with popular 31-year-old Chinese woman, Aisha Huang.
Simon Osei-Mensah maintained that, he does not know the woman who has gained notoriety for engaging in illegal mining popularly known as galamsey.
“I don’t know this woman called Aisha since I was born and when I became the Regional Minister, I have not dwelt with any Chinese national” he stated on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Thursday.
His comment is in reaction to a media publication linking him to Ms. Huang popularly known as Galamsey Queen.
The publication claimed Mr. Osei-Mensah is part of the supposed government officials being blackmailed by the Chinese woman who has been remanded with three other accomplices with sex video.
But in a rebuttal, Mr. Osei-Mensah expressed shock at the “concocted story” linking him to Aisha Huang.
In his view, such frivolous story called only come from a journalist practicing “gross form of journalism”.
“The first time I heard the name Aisha was when she was arrested by the Immigration so why is this journalist linking me to her” he bemoaned.
The Ashanti Regional Minister is, therefore, calling for a retraction and apology of the “fabricated story” with immediate effect.
Failure to comply, Mr. Osei-Mensah said he will seek redress in the law courts to redeem his hard-won reputation.
“I want that person to retract and apologise because I have worked hard for my reputation. If he doesn’t I will seek redress in court to clear my name” he added.
