Yaw Sarpong’s way of celebrating his Ruby Jubilee is by embarking on a church to church tour in spreading the gospel of Christ through music, among other projects. The veteran gospel singer this year, clocked 40 in the gospel music industry. And to celebrate it the veteran has highlighted his plans for the grand achievement.

Sarpong’s reason for the church to church praise program is to use his music to influence the lives of people through the word of God. He also plans to perform for free in churches across the country once they send an invitation.
As part of his 40 years in ministry, the Pioneer plans to launch the Yaw Sarpong Foundation (YSF) with the objective of transforming prisons across the country. Dubbed “The Prison Project”, it aims to establish counseling and resource centers across Ghana’s prisons, providing a platform for inmates to discover their talents through the power of music.

The event which recorded a large turnout also featured Ohemaa Mercy, Ntokozo Mbambo from South Africa, Akesse Brempong and Luigi Maclean.
The A-list Gospel artiste thought it appropriate to pay tribute to predecessors who have left an indelible mark in the industry.

Yaw Sarpong brought his best to the stage as he performed some of his hit songs at the concert. Wo haw ne sen, Tiwa, were some of the songs performed by the pioneer who exuded so much grace on stage.
A live painting was done on stage by Patrick William Dodoo while Yaw Sarpong sang and was auctioned immediately by Joe Mettle.
Joe Mettle also paid rich and glowing tributes to his mentor of blessed memory, Danny Nettey. Joe Mettle’s Praiz Reloaded live DVD recording was unprecedented.
Yaw Sarpong is a Gospel musician from the Ashanti Region specifically from a town called Esofia. He started singing at a young age with the methodis singing band before joining the Efisako band and later on joined Ahinsan.
