Hollard Insurance Ghana Limited has paid a compensation of GHC30,000.00 to the family of the late Thomas Obeng Asare, the Deputy Equipment’s Officer of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, who died on July 12, 2017 as a result of an accident involving the team’s bus.
Hollard, in a statement, assured the entire playing body and management team of Kumasi Asante Kotoko of their support and commitment to fulfilling the promise of compensating the team with the Group Personal Accident Insurance Policy.
Presenting the cheque, Business Development Manager of Hollard Insurance, Mr. Gustav Bruce, indicated that the relationship between Hollard and the Porcupine Warriors has been consolidated with goodwill and good wishes for each other. Hence, an occurrence of s nature is undesirable. He however noted that, the preparations put in place for such eventualities have come in handy as compensation for the team.
Head of Legal Asante Kotoko, Mr. Yaw Boafo, who received the cheque on behalf of the team thanked Hollard for the prompt action taken and assured them of their support whenever necessary during the partnership between the two institutions.
