HFC Bank Ghana has donated an amount of GHC 35,000 to four institutions as part of its corporate social responsibility.
The beneficiary institutions were the SOS Children’s Village Ghana, the University of Ghana Needy Students Fund, the National Partnership for Children’s Trust and the Ridge Church School towards its 60th anniversary celebrations.
HFC Bank Ghana is a member of Republic Financial Holdings Limited (RFHL) of Trinidad and Tobago.
Managing Director of HFC Bank, Mr. Robert Le Hunte, said the donations fit into the Bank’s vision statement which has building successful communities as one of its key pillars.
“The Bank, therefore, ensures that as it works to deliver sustainable growth and shareholder value, it also contributes to the wider community by being a responsible corporate citizen, a Bank with a heart and an employer of choice,” he said.
He assured that the Bank is committed to promoting and engaging in activities that would benefit and enhance the socio-economic development of the community and the country as a whole.
Mr. Le Hunte was of the view that the Bank will continue to engage in a number of corporate social responsibility initiatives in its bid to positively touch the lives of the society within which the Bank operates.
HFC Bank Ghana is known for its corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Earlier this year, the Bank undertook a nationwide blood donation exercise as part of its Valentine’s Day celebration.
In 2016, it supported Youth Athletics development, built an ultra modern pre-school block for the resident of Manchie in the Ga West Municipality of the Greater Accra region.
The Bank also renovated and donated to some key hospitals in the Country as part of its Staff Volunteerism initiatives.
