President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has lauded the First Lady, his wife Rebecca Akufo-Addo for spearheading the raising of funds for the construction of a new mother and baby unit at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).
Mrs. Akufo-Addo on Sunday 28 May was in Kumasi where she held a fundraising ceremony for the project. The fundraiser follows an earlier event in Accra.
Mr. Akufo-Addo in a tweet asked Ghanaians to support the First Lady in her project. He wrote: “I am proud of what @rakufoaddo is doing to assist Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. Let us all support her to #SaveAChildSaveAMother.”
