All prospective Hajj pilgrims will from Monday be screened of their health status, the Hajj Board has announced.
The health screening exercise will be done concurrently in Accra , Kumasi, Tamale and Bawku in the Greater Accra, Ashanti, Northern and Upper East regions respectively.
In Accra, they would be screened at the newly constructed Hajj Village Clinic, which is expected to be commissioned on Wednesday.
A statement issued by the Hajj Board Sunday said the Head of Medical, Dr Zakaria Seidu, has assured all prospective pilgrims that their health needs will be well taken care of.
The commission of the newly constructed Hajj Village Clinic will be graced by dignitaries like the National Chief Imam Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu and the Chief Executive Officer of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly
“It is one of a number of efforts undertaken by the Hajj Board to provide an enhanced health care for prospective pilgrims before and during the Hajj,” the statement said.
