Ghana’s number one ranked Table Tennis player, Derek Abrefa is confident the country’s representatives at this year’s Commonwealth games in Gold Coast will be extraordinary this time round.
According to Abrefa there is enough quality in the team ahead of the multi sport event in April.
Team Ghana will be represented by Derek Abrefa, Bernard Joe Sam, Felix Lartey and Emmanuel Asante in the men’s category. The women’s division will also see Celia Baah Danso and Cynthia Kwabi in action for the country.
And with this squad Abrefa believes the country’s quality will be exhibited to the fullest in Australia.
“The players who have qualified have enough experience because three of us have been there before and there is no way we will disappoint the country this time round,” Abrefa told Starr Sports.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Olympic Committee is planning to airlift Ghana’s contingent by the close of March.
