A large number of Ghanaian ladies took to the premises of TV3 Network over the weekend to partake in this year’s audition of ‘Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB) culture and beauty pageant.
The competitive event comes off on TV3’s network from August to October every year.
In an interview with Entertainment Today, some of the participants shared their views and expectations of this year’s contest.
Benedicta, Maame Esi and Esaba, all students from the University of Ghana, Legon, and natives of the Central Region, described the auditioning process as tough and competitive.
They were, however, optimistic of sailing through to the final stage since they had already qualified through to the semi-final stage.
According to Bridgette Sarpong, a student from the Central University and Rosina and Juliet all from the Brong Ahafo Region, it was a long journey after three attempts to qualify for the contest.
But for Regina and other contestants from the Volta, Western and Eastern Regions who did not qualify, it was the end of the road due to their premature eviction at the regional stages of the auditions.
They were hopeful and set to make a comeback next year to compete in the contest.
Meanwhile, this year’s GMB contest kick-starts in August after 12 outstanding contestants were selected for the semi-final stage.
