Ghana’s Black Starlets have been drawn in Group A along with hosts India, USA and Colombia in the FIFA U17 World Cup to be held in India later this year.
The Starlets will be making their return to the tournament after a 10 year absence and qualified by virtue of finishing as runners up in the U17 African Championships in Gabon earlier this year.
African champions Mali have been paired with New Zealand, Turkey and Paraguay in group B.
The Starlets have won the competition on two previous occasions with the last coming in 1995 under the great coach Sam Arday, which featured the likes of Awudu Issaka and former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah.
The competition is set to begin on the 6th of October.
