There were no major changes in the Fifa ranking for May as there were few competitive matches played across the world.
The Top 50 nations remained the same with only Slovakia dropping one place from a joint 23rd with the USA, in April, to 24th.
Ghana remain the world’s 45th football nation and continue to be Africa’s eighth best football nation.
Egypt remain the continent’s best with Senegal following in second.
The continent’s champions, Cameroon, are 33rd in the world and third in Africa. Burkina Faso and Nigeria complete the continent’s Top 5.
Brazil are the world’s best, evidenced in being the first South American nation to make it to Russia 2018.
The next release will be on June 1.
