Accra-based Great Olympics have served the Ghana Football Association (GFA) with a court injunction over their relegation from the 2016/2017 Ghana Premier League.
The injunction was served the Association on Monday.
The injunction stops the nation’s sport governing body from organizing any activity related to the 2017/2018 league.
Therefore, the scheduled launch of the league on Monday was called off indefinitely.
Great Olympics, who played in last season’s league after promotion from the Championship, are contesting decisions of the Disciplinary Committee over their protests against Bechem United and Elmina Sharks.
An appeal against the decision on Elmina Sharks was subsequently dismissed by the Appeals Committee.
The club is yet to know its fate after an appeal against the decision on Bechem United.
The 2017/2018 League was scheduled to start on Sunday.
