Muntari arrested -Information was rife yesterday that Ghana International Sulley Muntari was detained by the traffic police on the border between Italy and Switzerland for not paying the monthly installments of his SUV worth a value of about 150 thousand euros.
According to Spanish Newspaper Sports.es, Muntari was also recently busted for failing to pay his former agent whom he’s indebted to for several thousands of dollars.

The report also claims the 34-year-old is under investigation for alleged fraud after the Italian police confiscated his high-end vehicle.
It continued that the vehicle will be returned to the Genoa-based company, San Giorgio di Quarto, who was commissioned the police to hunt down Muntari and recover the car.
According to the report in the newspaper, the 33-year-old who earned millions of dollars playing for Inter Milan, AC Milan, Udinese and for last season Pescara, tried to make the police believe it was all a misunderstanding.
The police rejected Muntari’s claims and showed him the allegation of unlawful appropriation from the Genoa company to which he had not paid the monthly installments.
The report also stated that the former Newcastle player’s vehicle was seized because of economic difficulties the player is currently going through.
Having been in the quest for a club without success so far, it was speculated and circulated that Muntari was truly in a financial mess resulting to his not being able to pay the installments.
Sulley Muntari has released a statement denying reports that he was arrested and his car impounded by Italian security officials.
The statement also stressed that the player was is not experiencing any financial difficulties according to the version of the facts reported by the various newspapers.
The controversial midfielder took to his twitter handle to express his frustration over the issue.
Meanwhile, Muntari has been strongly backed by his counterpart Asamoah Gyan. The fearless captain of the Ghana National Team also took to Twitter to express his support for his former team mate.
