Ghana Gas Company has installed a second overhead compressor to serve as a backup anytime the Atuabo processing plant is shut down for mandatory maintenance work.
The Ghana Gas company has been experiencing intermittent shut down in operations due to mandated maintenance after every 4,000 hours of operation.
In early January of 2016, the Ghana National Gas Company started the construction of a second standard overhead compressor unit. This was to prevent a shutdown of the plant during routine maintenance.
The installation of the second compressor has ensured uninterrupted operations. The nine million dollar project is funded from the company’s internally generated funds.
