Ghana Football Association (GFA) has dissociated themselves from a Facebook account used in soliciting funds from the public on behalf the federation.
The said Facebook account, which bears the name of the FA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi, is being used to demand huge sums of money on behalf of the GFA to fund its activities.
Distancing themselves from the incident in a press release on 9th July, 2017 the GFA said the account was created by impersonators with the sole aim of swindling them of their hard earned money and therefore advised the public to ignore any request made to them via the account.
GFA also advised the general public to report to the police anyone contacted by such Facebook or social media accounts soliciting money on behalf of the GFA or Mr. Nyantakyi.
