An Accra High Court has adjourned a bail application by Aisha Huang, a Chinese woman believed to be deeply engaged in illegal mining to May 23, 2017.
Aisha Huang was remanded in prison custody alongside four other Chinese nationals after they were arrested by the Ghana Immigration Service and brought to court a week ago.
Chief State Attorney, Mercy Arthur requested for an adjournment saying she only received the docket Wednesday, May 17, 2017 and needed time to respond appropriately.
She also indicated they intend to charge the 5 under the Minerals and Mining Act, 2006, (Act 703).
