US-based Ghanaian relationship blogger, Kwadjo Panyin has teamed up with two other US-based bachelors of Ghanaian origin to launch Afringle, a new dating site dedicated to Africans living abroad and back home in Africa.
According to Kwadjo Panyin, he developed the idea to start a dating website and app just like most entrepreneurs do, to first solve his own puzzle of finding compatible single women to date in the United States.

Coincidentally, he has fellow bachelors who were having the same problem of finding a pool of compatible professional single African women to meet and date abroad. One of Panyin’s colleagues, Kwame Fosu equaled finding an African woman who meets your needs on the mainstream dating site to finding a needle in a haystack.
Having met like minds, it became possible for Kwadjo to come up with something a bit different from what have been there as regards dating sites. According to ameyawdebrah’s report, there’s scarcely any of the mainstream dating sites these bachelors have not delved into in search of what suits there needs as far as dating women is concerned, all to no avail. The trio individually admitted they have all tried all the mainstream dating sites including, tinder, match, Zoosk, plenty of fish, and so on. But since all these never met their needs, they decided to develop a new and better one themselves – Afringle.
Afringle holds the promise of exposing Africans living abroad to a larger pool of eligible singles and also help them find good dating matches.

On the business model front, Afringle is using the tried and true model most mainstream online dating sites use which is, charging a moderate fee for subscriptions. Afringle however, comes with a little twist. The site according to the developer, will be perfectly suited for the African professional who also wishes to maintain a level of anonymity.
In Afringle, users will find a robust dating site with a compatibility chemistry algorithm which seeks to make matching easier. Users will also have the option to hang out in the clique or chat rooms on the app.
Plans are underway to add a verification process to the site to ensure that only serious minded single African professionals or individuals can join the group.
