Popular Ghanaian teenage actor, Abraham Attah recently landed a role in an upcoming international cinema project by Nigeria’s movie industry, Nollywood in collaboration with the UK. The movie project which stands at an estimated cost of five million US Dollars ($5m), is titled Ade’s Journey.
Abraham Attah is cast as the lead character, with other African actors such as Isaach de Bankole of Casino Royale and Black Panther, and Hakeem Kae-Kazim of Hotel Rwanda and Black Sails playing supporting roles.
Other supporting actors in the cast include British Nigerian Hollywood actors Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje of Suicide Squad, Nonso Anozie of The Last Legion and Wunmi Mosaku of I Am Slave.
A major British actor is also said to be under consideration for a cameo role in the international film.
16-year-old Abraham Attah is a multiple award-winning child actor who made his way to the limelight following his debut movie role as child soldier Agu in Netflix’s movie, Beasts of No Nation. The young uprising actor is currently studying under a Netflix scholarship in the US.
Ade’s Journey is a movie with a transnational setting spanning across West and North Africa, Italy, France and the UK; written by top Irish screenwriter, film producer and director, Brendan Foley.

Th film which is based on true life events, is centred on very topical issues of child migration, human trafficking and football. It is the pathetic story of a West African boy who had to walk his way from Africa to Europe through the 6000-mile migrant route in search of stardom at a top Premiership football club.
The movie which creatively finds its roots in the Slumdog Millionaire and Billy Elliot’s genre, has earned the support of big international bodies such as FIFA, Premier League, UNICEF, and UNHCR as a result of its up to date real life themes of football, migration and human trafficking.
Among film directors and producers attached to the global cinema project are Screen Nation Picture’s Obi Emelonye, Devonshire Productions’ Bob Mahoney, and highly respected veteran Britich producer/director, Peter Macdonald.
