Chairman of the vetting committee responsible for the final interrogations of MMDCE appointees says extensive consultations were involved in the President’s selection of the 212 people.
Peter Mac Manu who is also chairman for the NPP stated that the selection was based on “competences, loyalty, understanding of the geographic and socio-economic conditions of the district”.
He said the president also looked out for people who shared his vision of transforming the district into “an appreciable level of socio-economic development”.
Mr. Manu said the nominees if approved by the various assemblies will be checked by the Ministry of Monitoring and Evaluation to ensure that the President’s vision is always on course.
