English Premier League champions Chelsea FC were beaten 2-1 by Manchester United on Sunday as they drop to fifth on the log.
Willian put the Blues ahead in the 32nd minute but the goal was equalized in just seven minutes by former Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku.
The Belgian’s goal kept the score at one apiece at the break.
But the partisan fans at the Theater of Dreams spurred the Red Devils on to get a goal, which became the winner, with 15 minutes to go.
Jesse Lingaard connected to a Lukaku cross to give Jose Mourinho a fresh impetus over Antonio Conte.
The win sends Manchester United back to second spot, 13 points behind leaders and city rivals Manchester City.
Chelsea drop to fifth place, six points behind Sunday’s opponents and 19 points behind the leaders, following Tottenham Hotspur’s loan goal victory over Crystal Palace.
