Egyptian lawyer Nabih al-Wahsh supports sexual assault on women who are improperly dressed.
Lawyers are known as individuals who work to protect the rights and privileges of people all over the world. Nabih al-Wahsh, an Egyptian lawyer keys into this notion but with some conditions.

The prominent conservative in Egypt said that raping women who wear ripped jeans is a man’s “national duty”, adding that girls who show parts of their body by wearing such clothes are inviting men to harass them.
The jaw-dropping comments came during a television appearance on satellite channel Al-Assema. Al-Wahsh appeared on the talk show where the invited guests were discussing laws on ‘inciting debauchery’.

According to him, raping women who wear ripped jeans would not only be what the women deserved but a way for them to learn self-respect.
Are you happy when you see a girl walking down the street with half of her behind showing?.. I say that when a girl walks about like that, it is a patriotic duty to s*xually harass her and a national duty to rape her, the lawyer said on Al-Assema TV during a live studio discussion.
The conservative who is known for his controversial comments bemoaned the high rate of indecent dressing among women adding that such is the reason for various cases of rape.
If intense criticisms did not follow Al-Wahsh’s comments, then it would be safe to say that he cast the entire world into a spell.
The lawyer’s remarks sparked an outcry among women right’s groups. According to reports, Egypt’s National Council for Women announced it plans to file a complaint with the attorney general against Wahsh and the TV channel.
A petition was immediately filed against the conservative Egypt’ s council for women who urged media outlets not to invite controversial figures who make remarks that incite violence against women.
This is not the first time al-Wahsh has been caught making dumbfounding remarks. Last year, his debate with a liberal Muslim cleric went viral after it descended into a full fight on tv.
The cleric, an Australia-based imam had argued that wearing a hijab – a headscarf – is a choice and not a religious requirement for Muslim women. This infuriated Al-Wahsh, who took off his shoe and beat the imam round the head with it on live television.
Al-Wahsh has also been reported to have said in the past that women cannot serve as judges because they menstruate.
