Doing away with the Rawlings’ factor in the NDC

Former president Rawlings is anything but happy these past months. He has not been any better in the past though, but recent developments in his own party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have aggravated his mood. The efforts his party is putting up to shed its past image are vehemently detested by him and it shows in his re-actions.
He is currently kicking TOOTH and NAIL, but it does NOT appear that he is going to make head way as the POLITICAL ENGINEERS are intent on ensuring an ALTERATION IN COURSE by hook or crook. There are currently INFORMAL STUDIES after the NDC humiliating defeat, to find out just how TO DENY HIM THE PERSONAL HOLD that he has wielded over the party so that the LEADERSHIP CAN TAKE COMPLETE CHARGE OF THE CONTROLS. You see, Truth Has To Be Told even if others call it Hate. Where were these cadres when Rawlings wanted young men and women to stick out their necks to become PDC’s and W. D.C’s in 1982?
This group want Jerry Rawlings to come off the train of delusion of grandeur and face the reality that his place is Now in the HISTORY OF THIS COUNTRY. Whether his place is Positive or Negative, it is left to the scholars of the subject to determine, BUT RAWLINGS WILL TAKE NONE OF THAT AT ALL, hence the ‘COLD WAR’ between Rawlings and the NDC since 2011 to date 2017. For me, ever since I started writing articles during the PNDC era in 1984 to date they are always more VITAL to the Nation than Personalities or Politics.
His NDC folks, have discovered that with him always breathing down their shoulders and spewing statements which LACK FINESSE AND DECORUM, he would be doing them MORE HARM than GOOD and they are therefore ready to go to all lengths to keep him AT BAY even if it means telling innocent NDC supporters that he (Rawlings) campaigned against Prez. Mahama and caused his defeat in December 2016. How sad, dear reader, the recent developments within the NDC is only a tip of the ICEBERG of what awaits Rawlings in the party that he built with his blood.
Since the PNDC era in 1984, I always write articles in the various newspapers to PROVOKE DEBATE and not to please anybody or write to the pleasure of anybody or group of people in this country. Bear in mind that it is ONLY IN THE DARKNESS THAT we are able to see the stars. The NDC is in darkness and we are now seeing the stars. Hmmmm: Today’s kids in politics, when they get government appointments, they falsely believe that chains of degrees makes one a good politician.
No one is more educated than the late Dr. K.A. Busia of cursed memory, but he messed up around with Ghana’s economy amidst which hunting of CPP members when he became the Prime Minister of Ghana in 1969 and got booted out by the Military on 13th January 1972. So, you must grow. Waati Anaa?
Those who could not stick their necks out to be counted as PDC’s and W.D.C’s in 1982 as well as those who were not even born at that time are now the very people claiming complete OWNERSHIP and CONTROL of the great NDC while treating Jerry Rawlings and his cadres with contempt due to pure hatred. Most of these noisy Latter Day Saints were even kids during the heat of the revolution in 1982, but today, they are all showing INGRATITUDE TO RAWLINGS AND HIS CADRES. We had to lose the 2016 elections because of their extreme greed and ungratefulness – why not. Who Born Dog.
All these Nasty state of affairs that happened in the NDC were caused by the anti-Rawlings elements in the party from 2009 to 2016. We must recount all these destructive activities in the NDC before we come together to UNITE and snatch power again from the NPP.
CAST YOUR MINDS BACK TO THE YEAR 1980
On the orders of Dr. Nabila, then Minister of information and presidential affairs during Dr. Limann’s regime, I was sacked by the management of Ashanti Goldfields Corporation, then AGC in 1980 alongside 102 miners for supporting the June Four Movement and being a card bearing member. I then joined forces with my colleagues in the June Four Movement nationwide and we outwitted the dreaded Military Intelligence for 2½ years and finally assisted Rawlings to over throw Limann on 31st December, 1981. So, you see dear reader, keep away from people who try to BELITTLE YOUR AMBITIONS, small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that YOU TOO CAN BECOME GREAT. The NDC is heir to June Four and the revolutionary journey has NOT been easy as hundreds of Cadres died right from the June Four era through the 31st December revolution in 1982 ending eleven years of revolution in 1992 where cadres formed the NDC as a political party but have become UNRECOGNISED, HATED and Treated with contempt since then. It became worse when Professor Millis became president in 2009 until he died but, it continued on – unabated until the NDC lost power because it had no solid foundation as the leadership know it and was playing the Ostrich. So, please do not joke with me at all if you have not experienced what I have gone through.
Rawlings. NDC folks have said that the NDC has OUTGROWN HIM, and TRY as he has been doing, he would not succeed. Tyrannical regimes do not run indefinitely according to some NDC folks, there comes a time when they run out. We have had it already as a country and won’t have it anymore, even if Jerry Rawlings LONGS FOR IT, because Ghana has come a long way from the revolutionary days when His word was FINAL, they rightly added this to remind cadres in the NDC that they (Cadres) would have no place in the NDC either. WIN or LOSE – the cadres must be kept at bay together with Rawlings, the party Founder and Leader of the 31st December Revolution that redeemed Ghana’s dented image in Africa and the world from 1982 – 1992. So, the NDC, whether in government or in opposition wants to get RID of the Rawlingses first, then the Rawlings Factor second and whatever it stands for and then Do Away With Probity And Accountability and Finally Turn the Great NDC into the CPP – This has Been the Misconceived Agenda of a Professional Group within the NDC since 2011 when Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings boldly contested the then sitting president J.E.A Millis at Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region. The Die is Cast. Now, Who Born Dog? It is Now or Never, and we all Live To see, the end results of these negative developments within the NDC. Why won’t the NDC lose the 2016 elections if such negative developments are taking place within the party since 2011 – 2016. Certain people in the NDC including Rawlings and at the various Regions and Constituencies were NOT RECOGNISED by the party leaders. There are Thousands people who are IN THE NDC because of Rawlings and nobody else. So those aggressive NDC folks must take note of that before planning day and night to do away with the Rawlings Factor and the Rawling while fully EMBRACING THE ZONGO CAUCUS as an integral part of the NDC. Frankly speaking, it will be extremely impossible to do away with the Rawlings Factor in the NDC as the party Isolated and even Starved cadres with Hunger for 8 years and they still exist in the NDC.
