West Ham United have broken their accounts again to sign Austrian forward Marko Arnautovic this summer.
The Hammers broke the sealing last summer shipping Black Stars midfielder Andre Dede Ayew from Welsh side Swansea City for a then club record fee of £20 million.
On Saturday, the East Londoners snapped Arnautovic from Stoke City.
The deal is worth £20m, which could rise to £25m, according to sources.
Arnautovic, 28, has played in the English Premier League since 2013, when he joined Stoke City from Werder Bremen.
He played 35 times last season, scoring seven goals.
“Everyone knows that West Ham is a big club and I’m happy to be a part of it. I can’t wait to get started,” he told the club’s website.
“It feels special to me to be a West Ham player. They are crazy for football and this is what I like. The club is still growing, getting better and better and that’s why I’m here.”
