Popular Ghanaian Dance Hall musician, Livingstone Etse Satekla, aka, Stonebwoy has cleared the air on the actual reason why he failed to invite people to his wedding. Stonebwoy’s wedding took everyone by storm as no one got wind of the event until the invitation card got leaked on social media just few days to the D-Day.
The unexpected attitude of the artiste raised many dusts and eyebrows, with different definitions given to the development. It also led to the absence of prominent personalities in the entertainment industry who were expected to grace the occasion.
While colleagues and close fans were nursing ill feelings for their not being invited to Stonebwoy’s wedding, some other less concerned observers made up stories to justify the unannounced wedding, including claims that Stonebwoy’s wife was expecting a baby.
Among the personalities that matter who were not invited to the ceremony was Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy’s fellow Dance Hall musician. Shatta’s absence at Stonebwoy’s wedding really got many tongues wagging, considering the on and off beef that usually exist between the two.
But speaking in an interview with Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hits host KMJ, Stonebwoy cleared the air on why he failed to invite many people to his wedding. According to the BHIM Nation CEO, his wedding with Louisa was initially meant to be a private ceremony until the news somehow got leaked to the media.
Stonebwoy went ahead to render an unqualified apology to everyone who expected an invitation to his wedding but got none, asking them to forgive him.
“I sincerely apologize. It was meant to be strictly private for us until the news broke out… I know people wanted to support… They meant good and I believe they should forgive me…” he pleaded.
Stonebway also seized the opportunity to debunk claims that they rushed the wedding because his wife was “heavily” pregnant. The “People Dey” hit-singer made it clear that the pregnancy story was a complete hoax as his wife is currently not pregnant.
He also dismissed claims that he was broke at the time of their wedding which made the ceremony to be funded by Louisa who is from a rich home. For the dance hall artiste, it is only normal for such stories to pop up about celebrities, but that doesn’t make it true anyway.
He concluded by explaining that if his relationship with Louisa was based on wealth, each one of them would have settled with richer people.
Livingstone Este Satekla and Louisa Ansong tied the knot on Friday, 16th June at the Unique Floral at the Trade Fair Centre in Accra. Despite the low invitation, the ceremony was well attended by prominent personalities, including Togolese footballer, Emmanuel Adebayor.
