Abeka District Court has deferred its judgment concerning Mawarko Supervisor, Jihad Chaaban, because both parties have agreed on terms of settlement.
The presiding judge, Victoria Afia Quansah, however, said Evelyn Boakye is only a party to the civil case but the criminal aspect still stands.
She, therefore, adjourned her judgment to August 2, 2017 to study the terms of settlement before the final ruling.
Counsel for the accused person, Julio De Medeiros, pleaded with the court to consider their terms of settlement.
The accused person was first arraigned on the 8th of March, 2017 and he was charged with three counts of causing harm, assault and offensive conduct which led to the breach of peace in a public place.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to all three counts at the first court sitting.
After four months of open court trial, the case was expected to be put to rest this morning when Magistrate Victoria Ghansah delivered the verdict of the court.
