Churches have been urged to use their teachings to transform lives.
Resident Pastor of First Baptist Church in Tema, Reverend Kwame, gave the advice during the church’s Easter festivities
According to him, the church should be used to cater for the physical, spiritual, mental and general wellbeing of its members and society at large.
He noted that the church chose the theme: “It Is finished,” to commemorate Easter as Christ’s death came to seal the word of God.
He said since the occasion was about the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, it was necessary for them to celebrate.
“The aim of the church in doing this is to make sure we bring together the youth who are more vulnerable, with their parents and the general public to spend the day at the church instead of going to the beaches,” he stressed.
According to him, the church is against people using Easter to indulge in ungodly behaviours.
He advised the youth and Christians to use the occasion to ask God for forgiveness to enhance their lives and get closer to their maker.
