The Northern Regional Police Commander, ACP Patrick Adusei Sarpong, has ruled out political motivation in the recent stabbing incident that occurred at Chereponi.
The suspect, a man, stabbed another man to death after a heated argument over the weekend. The victim was stabbed multiple times.
The Homicide Unit of the Police has launched a manhunt for the suspect who remains at-large.
Reports say the suspect is in his late thirties. The victim’s body was taken to the Tamale Teaching Hospital for an autopsy.
While the suspect remains at-large, police at Chereponi in the Northern Region are looking to the public for support to help unravel the full facts behind the incident.
ACP Sarpong told Citi News that it was seeking public support in terms of information to help arrest the suspect.
