Ghana Premier League champions Wa All Stars came from two goals down on Sunday to draw 2-2 with Ebusua Dwarfs at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
The Mysterious Boys drew the first blood in the 12th minute of the Match Day 24 fixture through Stephen Bentil.
The home side took that goal into the break only to double their lead in the 52nd minute.
Isaac Kwain’s freekick deflected to beat All Stars’ goalie Rashid in post.
But the retaliation was quicker than the home fans expected after Paul Asare within a minute of Dwarfs’ second goal beat Michael Abu in goal to reduce the deficit.
Just a quarter-of-an-hour later, David Abagna found the much-needed equalizer for his side.
The goal came after one from the champions was ruled out for offside.
All Stars contained the pressure piled on them by Dwarfs to take a point to the Upper West Region.
The result puts the two clubs on the heels of each other on the log. Nothing to separate them as All Stars are just behind Dwarfs. They both go on 32 points.
In other matches on the day, Hearts of Oak beat Tema Youth 3-1 while Liberty Professionals beat AshantiGold 1-0 at Dansoman.
The match between Asante Kotoko and West African Football Academy (Wafa) has been postponed indefinitely.
