Public Affairs Director of the Ghana Police Service, Superintendent Cephas Arthur, has been reassigned to head the East Legon District Police Command as the Commander.
Supt. Arthur takes over from DSP Emmanuel Basintale, who was interdicted in March this year following his alleged involvement in a gold scam worth nearly GHC2 million.
Meanwhile, Supt Arthur’s deputy, DSP Sheila Abayie-Buckman, takes over as the new Director of Public Affairs at the Police Headquarters in a latest reshuffle by the Inspector General of Police, David Asante Apeatu.
ACP David Oklu, has also been appointed as the Director General in charge of Public Relations in the reshcuffle which has affected 38 senior police officers in the country.
Supt. Arthur, who was the deputy Director of Public Affairs at the Police headquarters, was promoted to head that department in 2011 when his then boss, Superintendent of Police, Kwesi Fori was reassigned.
