A 78 year old man has been stabbed to death by an unknown assailant at Adiebeba, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
Mr Anthony Adomako, who is the CEO of Coconut Guest House at Adiebeba, was murdered on Monday, 11th June 2017 at about 11:30pm.
According to the receptionist of the guest house, he was with the deceased when they heard a knock on one of the entrances to the place.
The deceased asked him, the receptionist, to check who the person was; as soon as he opened the door, a young-looking man pointed a knife at him and ordered that he was taken to the deceased (CEO).
According to the receptionist, he intentionally shut the door loud enough to alert neighbours when he left the attacker and the deceased in the room.
He only returned with some neighbours to find the CEO in a pool of blood with several knife wounds in the lower abdomen, he told the police.
The deceased was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival at the komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
Ashanti Regional police PRO, ASP Juliana Obeng who confirmed the incident to Akoma FM said the body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue for autopsy.
The 52 year old receptionist is assisting the police in their investigations.
According to ASP Obeng, the assailant took nothing from the Guest House.
