Ghana Premier League champions Aduana Stars progressed to the penultimate stage of the 2018 CAF Champions League after humbling Libyan side Al-Tahaddy 2-0 on Wednesday.
The match was the first competitive game this year for the Brong Ahafo Region side at the Agyeman Badu Park.
Elvis Opoku’s goal in the 53rd minute cancelled out Al-Tahaddy’s 1-0 first leg win in Egypt.
Derrick Sasraku put the dagger inside the North Africans to give the Ghana champions the ticket to the final round of qualification.
They will next play another North African side, ES Setif, who won the competition in 2014.
The first leg will be played in Dormaa on March 7 while the second leg will be played in Algeria.
The loser of the two-legged tie will play for a place in the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup.
