The atmosphere at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra was charged during a signing ceremony between Briamah Kamoko, alias Bukom Banku, and Bastie Samir on Friday.
Hundreds of supporters from Bukom, Chorkor, Korle Gonno, Mamprobi and their environs trooped to the venue to witness and cheer their respective boxer during the signing ceremony.
Amidst drumming, singing and chanting, the enthusiastic supporters could not hide their joy as they traded words of war as to who is the best boxer.
The two rival boxers have been throwing challenges to each other over who is the strongest since 2013 after Bukom Banku beat his archrival, Ayittey Powers at the Accra Sports Stadium, compelling Box Office Promotion to arrange for the upcoming bout.
The cruiser weight bout is scheduled for the 30th September 2017 at Bukum Boxing Arena.
Bukom Banku promised to knock out Bastie in the 6th round. He also called on Ghanaians to support boxing and not to politicize boxing in the country.
Bastie on the other hand cautioned his supporters and his opponent’s not to engage in open bout, which he insisted should be left for the two.
