Founder of Perez Chapel International, Bishop Charles Agyin-Asare has organized a free medical screening and party for some less-privileged in society as part of activities marking the celebration of his 35th anniversary in ministry.
The event which took place on Saturday January, 27 at the Black Star Square in Accra, saw thousands of people turn up to access free medical screening for diseases such as breast and prostate cancers, haemorrhoids among other conditions.
Osu Mantse Nii Okwei Kinka Dowuona VI, graced the occasion as participants were fed while clothing and other items were distributed to the over 5000 beneficiaries.
As part of the 35th Anniversary celebration, Agyin-Asare’s Festival of Miracles is also scheduled to take place from the 30th of January to February 2 at the Black Star Square.
Launching the Festival of Miracles event at Tang Palace Hotel in Accra on Tuesday, Bishop Agyin-Asare said the festival is a timely campaign for supernatural intervention in the midst of recent events and happenings.
“When we are faced with incurable congenital diseases, when our fellow human beings are afflicted with cancer, diabetes, tumors, arthritis, damaged organs and other body parts, I believe a miracle is indispensable.”
The Bishop noted, although human attempts at bettering people’s lives have been significant and worthy of praise, they are not advanced enough or completely incapable of helping, and, therefore, a miracle is the last and often only resort.
“When someone is born blind, deaf or dumb, many a time, only a miracle can make a difference. When the lame have tried all else but still cannot walk, a miracle is not insignificant,” he said.
According to Bishop Agyin-Asare, his ministry has not been limited to the spiritual needs of people but he has also given counsel to leaders of nations, starting from Ghana, Togo, Ivory Coast, Sierra Leone, Burundi among others; adding, he has been involved in philanthropy as well.
“I am also a believer in being a light of hope to those around me. God has used me to touch many lives through scholarships, and I am glad to see some of the people I have helped become doctors and grow into different professions.
He urged the public to bring the outcast, the sick, blind, lame, deaf and dumb and those with all forms of infirmity to the festival for their healing and deliverance.
The Festival of Miracles will be graced by VGMA Artiste of the year, , Joe Mettle Dr Eric Kwapong, Cindy Thompson, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Uncle Ato, GiftyOsei among some men of God from Ghana and beyond.
