Prime suspects in the January 10, 2018 shooting incident at Bimbilla that led to the death of four persons have surrendered themselves to the police.
The suspects Issah Mobilla, 36, and Alhassan Hardi, 32, would now be assisting the police in their investigations.
The two arrived at the Northern Regional Police Command in the company of their lawyer on January 29, 2018, a statement from the Northern Regional Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Yussif Tanko has said.
The police declared the duo wanted based on the information received from victims of the deadly attack who were responding to treatment at the Tamale Teaching Hospital.
The accused persons were said to have entered a social centre on motorbikes and opened fire on a group that have gathered there.
Four persons were killed with six others sustaining gunshot wounds.
Two of their accomplices Abdulai Kasim and Wumbei Mohammed who were arrested on January 11, 2018 have been remanded, the police said.
“We are putting all the pieces of evidence together to present to the court,” the Police PRO said.
Meanwhile, curfew hours still remain from 6pm to 6am whilst ban on riding on motorbikes with a pillion rider still in force.
