Four persons are feared dead after unidentified gunmen opened fire on people in Bimbilla Thursday at about 9:00pm.
The shooting by the gunmen, who sped off a motobike, sparked sporadic shooting at different areas within the town, www.3news.com has gathered.
Reports from the Bimbilla Government Hospital say the hospital is overwhelmed with casualties.
Nurses at the hospital say the Medical Suprintendent has been out of town thus they are unable to handle the flooding cases.
The Yendi Municipal Hospital, which is about a two-hour journey, is willing to handle some of the cases but the absence of an ambulance at the Bimbilla hospital to immediately convey critical cases poses a threat.
Arrangements have, however, been made to have two pick-ups to convey the injured to Yendi.
