The ‘spirit’ of the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is what is sustaining the party now, a former appointee of President Mahama has said.
Former Ejisu Juaben Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Afrifa Yamoah Ponkoh speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme on Tuesday commended the NDC scribe for having the party at heart and protecting the party.
“General Mosquito’s spirit is the one sustaining NDC now…,” Yamoah Ponkoh said.
General Mosquito has been the General Secretary of the party since December, 2005.
He has led the party to win two (2) General Elections – 2008 and 2012 and has been acclaimed the ‘General’ of Ghana’s politics.
Rumours are ripe that the NDC scribe would retire from the General Secretary position and contest the chairmanship slot of the party.
The commitment of Asiedu Nketia, Yamoah Ponkoh said should be enough basis for the party to reward him by voting for him in whatever position he may contest.
“Everywhere he would go and what position he goes for, he has my support, he is the body and soul behind the NDC currently…,” he said.
